what is the difference between speed and velocity?

    To be technical about it, Speed is the rate of change of distance with time, while Velocity is the rate of change of displacement with time. So basically they're closely related, to the average American (like me) but physics had to be more precise about it and Ruin our Lives. :)

    Speed is how fast you go.Velocity is dealing with the direction and speed.
