well parachutes are used to slow down your speed and stop you from reaching terminal velocity in the air. While your falling your pull a lever that opens up the parachute which slows your down and lowers your acceleration keeping you in the air longer
what it does is when you jump out of a plane. you start scream but when you're done you pull a string or wire and the parachute shots out. it will then slow you down from hitting the ground turning into a pancake. i like pancakes.
Air resistance keeps the parachute up instead of letting him fall to death. without a parachute the gravity would push him to death quicker -Ashley Hasty
They create air resistance so that the diver doesnt freefall from the plane.
ReplyDeleteAir resistance. (:

ReplyDeleteit works because of air resistance....air goes up under the parachute.
ReplyDeletewhen falling the person pulls a string and the parachute shoots out and slow downs the person falling so he can land safly
ReplyDeleteair resistance slows you down as well as the string you pull for your parachute to go up and slow you down to keep you from falling dangerously.

They create air resistance so that the jumper doesnt fall from the plane and hit the ground hard
ReplyDeleteWhen a skydiver is falling he pulls a string and it releases the parachute which slows down the person with air resistance.
ReplyDeletethey help create air resistance so the diver does not freefall and hurt themselves
ReplyDeletethe air resistance lowers your velocity.
ReplyDeleteit creates more air resistance.
ReplyDeleteit causes air resistence
ReplyDeletea big sheet comes out of a backpack and takes up space so the man falls slower
ReplyDeleteAir resistance keeps the parachute open instead of letting the diver fall to his or her death. Without it, it would just drop.

air gets caught in the parachute and causes air resistance
ReplyDeletethey catch the air causing the person wearing one to slow down instead of speed toward the ground
ReplyDeleteIt creates air resistance, air resistance prevents the diver from hitting the ground to hard.
ReplyDeleteThe air resistance slows your fall

ReplyDeleteit causes air resistence which slows down things

air resistance keeps the parachut open insted of letting the driver fall.
ReplyDeletethey stop a sky diver from free falling from a plane
ReplyDeleteair resistance.
ReplyDeleteParachutes work because when the diver pulls on the string it pops out& air resistance keeps the chute open and kept up in the air
ReplyDelete-Shelby Holder
A parachute will stop you from falling so fast and slow down your velocity so that you won't hit the ground.
ReplyDeleteparachutes help u fall slower&easier¬ hit the ground as hard(just make sure there aren't any holes in ur parachute before yu jump!)

2nd block(:
when the diver pulls the string the parachute releases and it slows ythe diver down when it catches air
ReplyDeleteWhen you pull the parachute out, it slows your velocity down.
ReplyDeletethey make air restance
ReplyDeletethey catch air in the parachutes and the stop the persom from splatting on the ground

they create air resistance and drag
